Unnakkaya

Ingredients:

Ripe Bananas - 3 (long variety)
Grated Coconut - 4 tbsp
Cashew Nuts - 1 tbsp(chopped)
Raisins - 1 tbsp
Ghee - 2 tsp
Cardamom Powder - 1/4 tsp
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Oil

Instructions to prepare:

Steam cook the banana and allow it to cool. When it is cooled, peel off and remove its black seeds.
Mash it very well.
Heat ghee and sizzle cashew nuts. When turns to slight brownish colour, add raisins. Then add grated coconut, cardamom powder and sugar. Stir for a while and then remove from flame.
Spread oil on palms and take a hand full of the mashed banana and make a ball. Press between palms. Add 2 tsp of the early prepared mixture in this and close it by joining the edges. Roll in the shape by hand and deep fry this in oil.
Drain the oil and transfer it to a plate and serve.
