Chicken Biriyani

                        

Ingredients:

Chicken - 1 kg
Finely sliced Onion(medium sized) - 4-5
Green chilies - 8 Nos.
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Garam Masala - 2 tsp
Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp
Biriyani rice - 1 kg
Tomato - 2 Nos.
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Ghee - 4 tsp
Coriander leaves - few
Pudina leaves - few

Instructions to prepare:

Marinate the cleaned chicken pieces with turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt and set it aside for sometime.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add sliced onion and some salt. Saute for few minutes. Add ginger garlic paste and chopped tomato. Saute till the ingredients turns brownish. Then add the marinated chicken pieces. Cook till one whistle. Add garam masala, lemon juice, coriander leaves and pudina leaves. Cook till the water that came out gets dried.
Turn off the flame.
Saute the washed rice in ghee and then add water in the manner, 1 1/2 cup water for 1 cup rice. cook upto 1 whistle. When the rice is done, mix the early prepared chicken masala with it in a layered manner in the pressure cooker. Keep under low flame for few minutes.
Turn off the flame.
