Paalpayasam

Ingredients:

Rice - 2 cups
Milk - 1 l
Sugar - 200 g
Powdered cardamom seeds - 4 Nos.
Ghee - 1 tsp
Cashew nuts - 25 g
Raisins - 25 g

Instructions to prepare:

Cook the rice by adding 1/2 l milk & water.
After the rice gets boiled, add the remaining milk, little amount of water and a pinch of salt and boil again. Add sugar and cardamom powder to it and then remove from flame.
Melt ghee in a pan & add cashew nuts & raisins. Stir and fry it for sometime.
Pour this to the paayasam give a stir.
